KAR0 Authentic Ostrich Leather was established in September 2025, evolving from the trusted legacy of Lugro Ostrich. Lugro was found in Oudtshoorn by Fanie & Lucia Greeff, who built the business over 27 years before retiring in April 2025.

Today, Morné & Elzette Greeff proudly continue this family tradition. Having both worked for Lugro for many years – Morné for 15 years and Elzette for over 2 years – they bring valuable experience, passion, and continuity to the business. Production, together with the same (very skilled) workers have now returned to the family’s farm, where it all originally began.

As a second-generation family business, we are deeply committed to upholding the values that defined Lugro: exceptional craftsmanship, premium-quality materials, and personal, attentive service. Each product reflects our dedication to authenticity, durability, and timeless design.
