The Trails

  • Milk Run (12 km) – Return to Barrydale via R62
  • Fruit Loop (23 km) – Return to Barrydale via R62
  • Wine Route (33 km) – Return to Barrydale via R62
  • The Gin Path (44 km) – Return to Barrydale via R62
  • The Jack Daniel – Destination Karoo Saloon. Return to Barrydale via R62 – ideally by car!
  • Round the Town – Distance 11 km
  • The Full Monty – All of the above, sticking to the trails, avoiding the R62 – Distance 55+ km
  • Tradouw Pass Suurbraak Return – Distance 49 km
The trails here are all about enjoying the journey. As they wind through fruit farms, vineyards, and working dairies, you can expect breathtaking valley views, friendly farm stops, and a chance to experience the Klein Karoo’s warm community spirit.

  1. Start your journey at the iconic Karoo Art Hotel, where you’ll sign your indemnity.
  2. Download STRAVA or TRAILFORMS to track your route and join the local trail community.

  4. Pose for a quick photo for the farmers’ group – proof you’ve joined the Barrydale trail tribe!
