TULBAGH TOURISM OFFICE
Tulbagh boasts the highest concentration of declared historical monument buildings in South Africa. A devastating earthquake rocked the region in 1969 severely damaging many of them but they have all been lovingly restored and give the town the feel of an 18th century village.
Tulbagh is renowned for it’s wine route, local cheeses, Belgian chocolates and olives.
For the more adventurous there are hiking trails and mountain bike routes and the mountainous Groot Winterhoek Wilderness reserve beckons close by.
