Robertson Wine Valley
in the Winelands

Just before you cross the Boland to Klein Karoo, the Robertson Wine Valley gives you the splendor of the wine lands one last time. It makes you slow down…and linger…and stay.

Tasting in the Cellar

The Robertson Wine Valley is only 90 minutes' drive from Cape Town on the popular Route 62. This organization was formed in 1983 by a handful of wineries to promote wine of origin Robertson. Today it consists of 52 members in the towns of Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson (46 of these being wineries). Cupped between the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges, visitors are mesmerized by the rugged and austere beauty of the wide valley with a river running through it, a landscape of rose- and canna-fringed roads and vine-covered rolling hills.

The wine route member farms (90% are family-owned) offer uninhibited and generous country hospitality and, above all, world-class wines with fantastic value at all price points.

Fresh Produce

No wonder wine tasting is in the order of the day when visiting the Robertson Wine Valley. Our friendly staff will guide you on this journey, whether you are an experienced wine taster, or exploring the world of wine for the first time. And to compliment this, other activities include river rafting, bird watching, cheese and olive tasting, hiking, horseback riding and so much more. So we'd like to invite you to come experience our valley for yourself – you will definitely return for more!

OUR VISION: "To position the RWV amongst the leading wine regions of the world, recognised for its wine, experiences and practices".
